Over 5 weeks in July and August, I traveled to 6 cities in Portugal to study accessibility, policy, and the social attitude surrounding the disabled community. For decades, Portugal has struggled to catch up to the rest of the Western world in this regard, so I immersed myself in Portugal's culture and met with experts in order to find out why.
